Milkshake is a band on a mission: to create great rock music for kids. Led by singer Lisa Mathews and guitarist Mikel Gehl, whose songs for grown-ups have been featured in movies and prime-time television, and whose indie rock group Love Riot garnered critical praise during its 10-year run, Milkshake has won over preschoolers without compromising songcraft, stagecraft or their authentic rock&roll spirit.

Sky-Dog worked side-by-side with the entire Milkshake band to create character designs, write and draw fun stories, and design a comic book that didn't just further the Milkshake Brand, but is now the template for a proposed kids show starring the band, and featuring Sky-Dog's animated designs throughout!

Westfield Shopping Mall's offered up a unique treat from Santa-- acomic book featuring teir own mascot, Westie the Kangaroo! Furthering the Westfied brand in a one-of-a-kind collectible comic, the Sky-Dog team pulled together to deliver a whopping 405,000 comics to over 60 malls across the US!

Reading Heroes
w/ Coach Dawn Staley

Created in conjunction with Starbridge Media Group
University of South Carolina had a dual purpose of reaching out and supporting literacy in South carolina schools, and raising awareness of the SC Women's Basketball team and its new coach, three-time olympian Dawn Staley.

Working in conjunction with the SC Athletic Department, an entertaining and educational story was written, illustrated, and prepared for press, just in time for a special reading themed night at SC's arena. The program was such a success, the Universtity was awarded a prestigious NCAA grant to create an additional three comics, promoting excercise, healthy eating, and perseverence and teamwork.
